Operation Christmas Child

This cake was made as the celebration of this year's Operation Christmas Child at a local church. They ship off thousands of shoe boxes that are filled with various items for needy children. What a great way to bring in the holidays.

Bouquet

A bouquet for a special lady.

These beautiful cupcakes were decorated for our Mamaw's birthday.

Paisley

Another version of the paisley cake. This one was for a friend's baby shower we had. I think the colors on this cake are awesome.
Same as before. Buttercream icing with fondant decorations.

Paramore

This cake was for Kathleen's daughter's birthday. Betsy is into graphic design and she "jazzed" up a picture of the Paramore singer (to the left) I made an icing transfer of her picture. Her and her friends loved it!

Paisley

This special little paisley was for my friend Kathleen's birthday last week. We won't say how old...

Happy Birthday Michele

I always make our birthday cakes for our department at work. I made this cake last week for a co-worker. You can't ever go wrong with chocolate!

Brownie Wreath

This was the #1 item at the Christmas Bazaar. It sold before the show even started!

Snowman #2

This snowman was made using a buttercream transfer.

Santa's coming... This was the cake that was given to the cake raffle winner.
Santa is a buttercream icing transfer.

Gingerbread Man

I designed this gingerbread man from several cupcakes and a mini cake. He was a hit!!!

Christmas Bazaar

Today I set up a table at a local church for their annual Christmas Bazaar. Local "crafters" set up tables for people to kick off their Christmas shopping. There were lots of different types of handmade items. I hope everyone had a successful day. I made several Christmas themed cakes to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. The next few posts will be the cakes I took today. I passed out samples for everyone to get a little taste! I had a cake raffle and had a lucky winner. She was a young girl and was VERY excited to win!

Fall is here

The leaves are falling so why not celebrate?
The leaves are created with gum paste. It is edible, although it has no real flavor.

Legos

This has to be one of my all time favorite cakes that I've made.
Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing. Once the cake was iced I divided it up and created the "Legos"

Over the Hill

THE BIG 5-OH!
This is a white double layer 1/2 sheet cake with Chocolate Buttercream icing. I added some I must say, this is the heavest cake I've made!!!
If in doubt, double or tripple board your cake. You don't want to take any chances of the cake cracking once you'd worked so hard decorating it.
